Phil Searle, CEO and Founder of Chazey Partners, a practitioners-led global management advisory business, was honoured to chair and present at the inaugural Shared Services & Outsourcing Week (SSO Week) Europe Digital 2017 from 10th July – 12th July 2017, organized by Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON). During the three-day event, Phil reviewed the delivered sessions from the recent SSO Week Europe event, which was held in May in Manchester, UK.
This digital event consisted of ten sessions presented by numerous senior Shared Services leaders, covering key subjects on Robotics and Intelligent Automation; Strategic value through data analytics and value-added services; Global Business Services (GBS); Global Process Ownership (GPO); Digitisation and optimisation; Leadership transformation and the future workforce.
As the chairman of the event, Phil kicked off the conference with opening remarks, chaired each presentation and panel discussion, and then closed the event with some of his highly informative takeaways. “I am honoured to chair this event and have the opportunity to share my thoughts with so many Shared Services professionals. The concepts of Shared Services have been in practice for around 30 years now and continue to evolve. We are again entering a new era with numerous factors creating uncertainty but also opportunity”, said Phil.
At the event, Phil also delivered a session on the latest trends in Shared Services and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) implementation, together with Daniel Lawrence, Managing Director of Chazey Partners Europe. “The Intelligent Automation and Robotics wave is real and significant. The key is to make sure that solutions chosen are relevant, practical and appropriately planned for and implemented, and that any RPA vendors selected are the right ones for your enterprise and automation strategy”, commented Daniel.
“We would like to thank Phil and his team for doing such a tremendous job as our ‘Digital Chairman’ at the SSO Week Europe Digital 2017. The deep industry expertise that Phil brought to the role raised the entire series – his thoughts pre and post each session were insightful and evoked multiple perspectives in discussion topics whilst demonstrating the highest level of thought leadership. The Chairman’s takeaways are a great way of rounding off the whole series as a single source of the key headlines and learnings from each of the conference sessions”, commented Rochelle Hood, Global Head of Customer Analytics and Research, SSON.
