With approximately 750 employees, Bimbo Shared Service Center is located in Mexico City and Costa Rica and provides HR, Finance and Accounting services for all Bimbo subsidiaries in Latin America, USA and Spain. The Shared Service Center has been recently awarded as Best Mature Shared Service Center in Latin America by SSON.
Chazey was engaged to support the Shared Service Center Transformation Project which included several key strategic initiatives to become a World Class Shared Service Organization. Part of the scope of work included the plan and execution of several initiatives that will help Bimbo SSC achieve its long term Strategic Goals. Chazey assessed the Payroll and Personnel Administration process in order to identify opportunities to optimize the processes and reduce manual work. We identified new potential technologies to support the HR processes and evaluated new HR processes that could potentially move to the existing Shared Service Center such as Recruiting, Selection, Performance and Training Management. We also conducted a comprehensive benchmarking analysis and a CRM review to identify potential gaps with best in class organizations.
In March 2013, we engaged Chazey Partners to become our strategic consulting advisor to provide specialized consulting support to assess and provide recommendations on several key initiatives that will help our Shared Service organization achieve our long term strategic goals. The initiatives included optimizing many of our end to end processes, assessing the level of use of our ERP System (Oracle), redesigning our organization, identifying best in class practices to enhance our Service Management framework as well as identifying other opportunities to optimize our operational cost. Through the development of a business case and implementation plan, they provided us the guidance we need to provide higher focus on customer service, achieve process standardization and simplification and evolve into a high performing shared services operation.
