Panasonic Corporation of North America (PNA) is a leading technology partner and integrator to businesses, government agencies and consumers across the region. Key PNA business segments include consumer electronics, home environment products, system integration solutions and automotive infotainment and electronics.
Chazey Partners performed a detailed assessment of PNA’s existing shared services function and identify opportunities for better aligning with the current needs of the business and the internal customers. The scope of this project covered the Finance (FSO), HR, IT, Legal, Brand Management Group, and Logistics Shared Services functions and the Corporate Planning, Legal, Finance/Consolidations, HR Governance functions. Key activities included:
- Examination of both the Shared Services Model and the Governance function
- Assessing the 9 elements of the “Customer Interaction Framework” to determine areas for improving customer satisfaction
- External Benchmarking to ensure that PNA was on the right track; benchmark FTEs/revenue, compensation and total cost
- Recommendations how PNA better optimize not only shared services organizationally, but governance responsibility as a regional HQ
