Greene King is a British brewery established in 1799 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. It has grown to become one of the largest British owned breweries in the UK through a series of takeovers. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 share index. Greene King has been actively expanding through a series of mergers and acquisitions; these have led to diverse processes being adopted.
Chazey Partners was approached by the head of Shared Services in Greene King to carry out an optimization review of the Shared Services Operation. The project was implemented successfully with month-end reporting timeline reduced from 9 ½ to 5 days, which is a huge efficiency gain for Greene King. Furthermore, Chazey Partners has been engaged to work with the director of Shared Services on the compilation of the Service Partnership Agreements (SPAs).
